I've search for a known_devices file in /home_assistant and .storage but can't find one. Not sure if it's that.

The system is new enough 6 months or so.

Wondering if it's struggling with storage or SQL.

there may be a way to do this, but its probably easier if you just tell us about how you are running ha and if there is any configuration changes made / addons being used that could lead to such behaviour
