I have about an hour or less before my son goes to nap and I can troubleshoot more, but I think getting esp home to grab the data stream from the air gradient is where I’m stuck.

I bought the newer pro diy (solderless) kit, V9.

Was able to get it connected to my WiFi, and was actually kinda offended when it turned on and went straight to yellow lol

@frozen reef Well I managed to get the ESPHome set up in HA, and I think? I also have a "device" set up, that appears to be my air gradient Device. But I'm not seeing anywhere to view if the data is coming in.

honestly just shooting in the dark and seeing if I can make progress.. I'm not really sure if I am making progress. 🤷‍♂️

no rush tho. If you're able to help that'd be awesome!

Hi sorry, been out running errands. I think once you get it in esphome you then have to add it as a device in home assistant

That’s where you’ll see the actual entities

#

So you set it up in esphome and see it in that UI, then switch back to HA and add the device as you would any other sensor

#

Heading back home now and will be able to chat more this evening!

Ha. Not yet. I came home and jumped right into my son's bedtime, then we did some chores and relaxed. Looking into it now. 😄

So i'm not sure if I got the airgradient added to esp home properly.

It wasn't even turning on when plugged into the computer... And I forgot I was updating it and unplugged it mid update.

Yeah, it appears after adding it to ESPhome, it only wants to add the firmware as a device.... **or as an entity...

Hmm when you run the yaml have you tried downloading it and installing it via the web portal

not sure what you mean by run it, but i did install by downloading and insalling via esphome web. im super new to HA, snd im just starting to get everything set up
