Re access requirement, cameras are visible in HA - and can be added to dashboards, just casting to screens is not a thing

Yep, I think that's what it is - Cameras and IoT are separate VLANs
IoT -> Cameras is allowed, but it's L3 routed not L2 switched

I've only got one camera so far and it's on my trusted and it works fine with my HA on the clan

If you can view it in HA but not cast, sounds like a vlan/mDNS issue
