Hey @twilit cave, I'm the developer behind Chime TTS. Sorry to hear you're having issues.
I don't have any Google Home speakers but i'm happy to troubleshoot with you.

From your message it's not clear if you're using the chime_tts.say or chime_tts.say_url service. Could you please share the YAML you are using?

Hey Nim. I managed to get it working in the end. I didn't realise that the tts platform Google cloud was using the Google cloud integration directly

I assumed it was what Nabu Casa used, but it's not. Switched to using the cloud platform and everything works now
