Did you try the following?

  1. Update the bulb to 3.6.54
  2. Remove the bulb from the Nanoleaf app
  3. Remove the bulb from all your Matter fabrics. Should be done automatically, but check it
  4. Remove the bulb from iOS settings > General > Matter accessories
  5. Pair the bulb to your primary Matter fabric and share the bulb with your secondary fabric
  6. Pair the bulb with the Nanoleaf app again

I also had this issue. Step 4 solved it in my case.

Maybe it’s true that there is something wrong at the moment.

I paired 12 Nanoleaf Matter bulbs the last two days. Only two had problems. But they worked with the above described 6 step procedure.

Tried above but still the same. I get the iOS promt, that bulb is added to another fabric, but I get the error "Cant add accessory".

core-matter-server chip.CTL[212] ERROR Commissioning discovery over BLE failed

Seems to be the issue… But I am unsure in which case this error comes up. Bluetooth commissioning window closed?

Can se that iOS only shows "connecting" and not "setting up" anymore (used to) ... Tried two different devices (iOS) and tried to downgrade HA iOS app.

Maybe you want to try iOS 17.3 beta:

iOS 17.2 "Release" also did not work, so I then updated to iOS 17.3 beta and tvOS 17.3 beta, and I was then able to pair to Google Home and HomeAssistant again. So there seem to be some Apple problems at play too.

But I am unsure, if your issue relates to that issue.

@wary hazel Do you know what this issue is about?

Seams like the Matter server in HA is broken. Possible to reinstall without having to adding all devices again and risk none will work?

Have tried to share from iOS to Google Home - again without problems - only impossible to share to HA. And adding directly to HA also fails.

So wouldn’t even pair a matter over WiFi bulb. Linkind, ios17.3.

as i mentioned the other day, I still had a Matter Experimental Beta from HACS from last july for the workship still hanging out. I thought I removed it entirely but something still not allowing new commissions in HA,
