Hi all, have a proplematic old first gen Hue motion sensor that has recently started losing connectivity. Am using ZHA with an old Conbee II on ZigBee channel 20. Both have been rock solid for literally years, but now the SML001 doesn't seem to want to stay connected. If I re-add it, it gets detected almost immediately but then never sends another status update.
#Hue Motion Sensor (SML001) keeps losing connectivity

Few things that I suspect:
- For some reason, all my devices seem to say they are connected via the coordinator (which is a floor away), despite having many repeaters close by. Have even tried "adding via this device" and they still say they're connectd via the coordinator.
- I suspect that the new neighbour has their router configured across many bands that's interfering with the signal. Using a channel scanner reveals an SSID with about the same signal strength as my WiFi across bands 5-12 (which DOES heavily overlap with ZigBee 20). However, I don't know why this would interfere with ONLY that sensor, as other sensors in the same room have no issues.
Things I haven't tried, but am open to if they're likely to help:
- Switching to Z2M.
- Changing Zigbee adapter to the SkyConnect that's been sitting in my draw for months.
Have you tried changing its battery?
This sensor's firmware has issues. I've documented them here: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/89311#issuecomment-1565740967
Cool, thanks for that. The battery was reporting at 48% when it last transmitted, so should be plenty of juice - but sounds like it's a bit flakey anyway. Might swap it out for an IKEA one or a FP2 at some point.
