I feel it's worth mentioning that I had both of these lights connected and working under ZHA with the same zigbee dongle for a years time. I am migrating away from ZHA to Z2M (I have made sure to properly uninstall ZHA)

#

I have tried rebooting HAOS as well as just restarting z2m from the web ui.

That stick is petty crap and hasn't been recommended for years

Yep

#

Just hoping it would work because it's worked for me so far

#

And the fact that I managed to get one of the lights connected for a bit

That said, if it's on a USB extension cable and you're clear of wifi then it should work - up until a dozen or so devices

Yeah I'm only attempting to use two lights and a trådfri dimmer

#

The trådfri dimmer connects without any problems

Could be that they're not resetting correctly shrug

But yeah I'm just gonna have to get a new dongle as soon as I get my next paycheck

The Z2M doc pages that you linked describe a way to pair the bulbs using the IKEA remote, did you try that?

marsh quail
#

Yep, the bulbs didn’t go into pairing mode at all using that

And also did you try having the bulbs closer to the coordinator (HA/Pi)?

The other light I have is <50cm from the zigbee dongle

#

And my apartment is only 25sqm so no matter what there’s line of sight from the dongle to both the lights

#

The weird thing to me is still just how one of the bulbs connected but now won’t connect again

Too close? Meh - it shouldn't be this hard.

#

As you only have 3 devices, you could quickly try different Zigbee channels too : 11, 15, 20, or 25 are often recommended as the most reliable

Oh neat

#

I’ll try that when I get home

Oh, and the CC2531 has a low limit on how many devices can talk directly to it
