Almost any Zigbee device will work, and most mains powered devices will route traffic (as long as they have power). Of course, if they're connected to the Innr hub then they're not connected to HA's mesh, so they won't route traffic for HA's mesh.
You can reasonably expect a range of about 6 to 8 meters between devices
(you can of course put in smart plugs and not use them to control power to something)
so to get the most out of HA i should go for plugs and lamps without a hub?
Hubs lock you down to what the manufacturer supports, and means you end up with a bunch of them
Also, ZHA (and Zigbee2MQTT) don't support hubs
oke, ill think i get some plugs and lamps then without a hub and use a dongle.
Almost any Zigbee device will "just work" - Z2M documents what works, and ZHA doesn't since it assumes most things should work
