This can be due to DNS. Do you use DNS servers provided by your ISP?

Ok, how can i find out regarding the DNS

#

They are entered on your router. Probably under "dhcp" if you can access the admin page for it

#

In turn these are used by devices on your network to resolve addresses. HA OS needs to connect out and download these images to set itself up, and fast DNS servers usually helps with this.

#

You can replace what you find with DNS servers such as Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 or Quad9's 9.9.9.9 or Google's 8.8.8.8 etc

#

These big tech companies have appropriated simple looking servers for marketing or ease of use. Yours probably looks less neat. 68.87.85.102 for instance (provided by Comcast/Xfinity)

I've had a similar issue although it says the update doesn't exist, using ISP DNS. It didn't give me a problem the last time I used homeassistant

Overlayfs: overlapping lowerdir path. Is what shows up on my CLI

You may need to then disconnect and reconnect ethernet to the pi. A little pause in between

#

Then watch the logs

#

Make note of the existing servers in case you want to put them back.
