Awesome, Well I love what you guys are doing and thank you for all the great work, Home assistant has been amazing for me and frustrating for my wife and kids while I figure everything out (i.e I set a automation that turns our bedroom lights to certain colors and brightness when the apple tv plays something, but she likes to read so every time a new youtube or video plays it automatically re sets lights to what I had LOL)

Do you have the "Advanced SSH & Web Terminal" addon, or just the normal SSH addon?

Perfect. Log in with the addon, unplug the Skyconnect, plug it back in, and run dmesg. You'll see a lot of output but at the very end you should see something like this:

Thanks! One last question: do you have a Windows or Mac computer you could plug it into? Your stick should be showing up as a SkyConnect, not as a generic serial device.

If you plug it into a Windows computer, even without the correct drivers it will show up as a SkyConnect within Device Manager: https://i.imgur.com/w6gWnEG.png

If you open up the "Other Devices" section and plug it in, you should see a new entry show up.

If yours has the problem I suspect, it will not be named the SkyConnect but as the generic USB serial chip

Here’s an interesting one it shows up under ports but as silicon labs cp210x usb to uart bridge
