I'll look through things again, though I had been setting it through yaml as it's the only place to actually set it (home is not editable in the UI)

Ah, I see now. It can be overridden. I was just editing the variable that was already in place.

one question: If I override the "home" zone, will that still work with my prior settings that track when we enter/leave home? In theory it seems it "should" but I also see how it could cause an issue.
