It's actually not a good idea to store the database of home assistant on a sdCard. I already destroyed a sdCard with a very simple database on it after it had run for 1,5 years. Afterwards the sdCard was just read-only, so I was able to retrieve everything but I learned from it. I now have an external SSD attached to it via USB.

I'll try the set up with an sd card, and maybe move to a usb drive later on.
