I did a fresh install on an 86 machine running Fadora 38. I followed all the guidlines under the install section. I used the KVM image and followed the KVM-(virt-manager) directions. When I reboot I get a "shell" prompt, but HA does not start.

On the VM "display" you will not get anything more than a shell prompt

The problem is that that does not work. I tried "homeassistant.local:8123, homeassistant:8123, and the ip of the computer 192.168.1.97:8123. I get the message that it cannot connect. conection refused

Is the network configured correctly?

I believe so, but since I am new to this Im not sure. I chose the NAT option (rather than bridge).

Use bridge

I tried that but I didnt know what to use for the name. I tried the ip address, then the mac address, but it didnt accept either. What would I put there?

Usually virtbr0 is used as bridge name

Thanks I'll try that and be back later

If you are still here. It didn't work. Says, Unable to complete install. Cannot get interface MTU on virtbr0: no such device

I used virbr0 and it took that. But still no connection.
