I've installed Proxmox but my old test server had just an ubuntu server installed on it + docker + docker compose and then 4 containers that worked together so .. HomeAssistant, Zigbee2MQTT, mosquitto and portainer so my wife could start the MC server.

In Proxmox do I should I install a Ubuntu Server VM and then run on that VM all those containers or do I create 3 different containers in promox itself? and can I then still use docker-compose?

So basically, do I do the samething as a VM in Proxmox or should I just make seperate containers in Proxmox?

Thank you.

Gotcha, yeah I’m using proxmox this time for one seems fun to learn and 2 in the future I will probably will need a hypervisor like proxmox for multiple vm’s and clusters hass

So if I understand correctly I’ll just run a VM with Debian or Ubuntu Server and then still run docker and docker compose on that specific VM with HA, Zigbee2mqtt, Mosquitto and portainer 🫡

Wasn’t sure how they would work together
