Is your HA instance accessible via the internet? Either via Nabu Casa or some other setup?

she can access home assistant while out and about, but for some reason the home app wasn't working
that said i've been having some issues with accessing stuff remotely and i think i finally fixed it, but i'm not sure if it's fixed - maybe she was just having problems in general accessing HA outside the network?

My HomeKit devices also become unavailable sometimes but then fix themselves at some point. It’s quite annoying

her iphone is the only ios device we have, so we don't have anything to use as a hub
ah well, if that's the issue then we can just live without using siri when we're out and just using the HA app then
