Yeah, I can pull the site up on my rpi host, the thermostat is set for proxy server pointing to the site on port 3000, port 3000 is open on the rpi firewall, they are on the same network.

I assume I bungled the config somewhere.

Yep, same here. I've tried it set up on my ubuntu box, the rpi that runs my HA instance, port 3000, port 3050 ( just picked that port number at random) and hosted and bridged network modes on both.

#

I even completely blew away my Ubuntu install and started over installing infinitude first in case my initial docker install or other containers were causing an issue

#

My thermostat did a firmware update back before Christmas, before I tried to set this up and I'm willing to bet that's the root of the problem

Tbh i just really hate carriers setup as a whole. I've had so many issue with the TouchPad just arbitrarily dropping internet. I just updated the firmware last night and everything connected up after about 10 minutes, and then when I woke up, the connection was broken again - still has ota but the data is disconnected.

Yeah, I have to deal with Carrier equipment at work and since I'm not a licensed HVAC tech they generally won't talk to me or sell me parts.

#

Apparently the solution to our problem is downgrading the firmware on the thermostat. For now, anyhow.

#

I just dowgraded mine and it's talking to infinitude now.

Ya I was just reading the same thing - b model uses tls while a model doesn't, so we have to use insecure methods to utilize the proxy function. Which is double dumb. Sigh.

Love when bad software design forces non-technical users to expose themselves to unnecessary risk.

Yeah, ultimately I don't know what I'm going to do. 4.05 breaks some of the functionality of the Carrier Home app. Which I'm trying to get my wife away from using all the separate apps for everything and just use HA, it's a bit of a challenge.
