That depends on whether you need/desire the IR & Remote + Sound Reactive version of WLED which is a custom fork from the standard WLED repository. For non-HA users, the IR & Remote is likely desirable; not sure in your use case.

Yes, you will need a 220VAC to 5VDC 6A transformer. The 15A one I bought has a switch to select 110VAC or 220VAC.
