True, my stick is an older Aeon, a ZW090, which is a 500 series. Can I upgrade without having to re-add everything? Because that would be tedious and annoying.

One is a 5+ with nvm backup features, one is a 5 with no such feature

If you upgrade firmware on 5+ then yes you can migrate without redoing shit
