Yeah, the dummy sensor with 0 usage is definitely strange. Might be something that can move toward a proper way of doing it though. Just letting the energy dashboard add cost-related entities without adding a consumption entity at the same time would remove most of the issue here, other than maybe some nice helpers for adding stuff like monthly costs
