I came across that one navigating the web to see what is out there... looks quite good indeed, but wifi based.
I though of going with something Zigbee based... don't know if that exists though.

I'm not aware of any Zigbee digital LEDs

WLED being the integration/firmware, any specific LED strip you would recommend? I saw the WS2812. any good or others are better/easier ?
