Zigbee2MQTT version
1.28.0 commit: unknown
Coordinator type
zStack3x0
Coordinator revision
20210708
Coordinator IEEE Address

That's ... very old coordinator firmware
Currently, how I get devices to pair in is by bringing the entire coordinator to the freaking switch and pairing it in
Hmmm
How should I update the firmware
Sure
Pick the method that suits you best
There was a bug in older firmware where you couldn't pair through routers, only directly to the coordiinator
Ic, just curious
If I were to flash the firmware
Do I have to repair?
everything
No
Thanks, will give that a try and update here in 12 hours.
I'd suggest you go directly to https://github.com/Koenkk/Z-Stack-firmware/tree/develop/coordinator/Z-Stack_3.x.0/bin for the version
The latest dev release has many fixes
Are there instances where certain routers just show up as routers but are not actually repeating?
I had successfully updated the firmware at my parents place, it's rather small so I can't really tell the difference.
But I felt that the pairing speed was a lot faster.
I will see if this fixes the issue when I am back home tonight.
Doesnt Seem to be working
The Pairing is indeed faster, but my third floor is stil out of reach
You may have started the mesh with an old enough version of the firmware that you have an old bug that means you need to:
- Un-pair every router (start with the furthest away)
- Restart Z2M
- Re-pair every router (start with the closest to the coordinator)
😓
