only thing that doesn't work is the supervised audio container because it mounts a socket and expects that socket to be mounted as root.

Right, you'd (generally) build your own machine, add your own drives, etc, but it gives you greater flexibility than any of the commercial NAS kits will provide

I've moved all of my home automation stuff to my unraid machine, all in different little docker containers off of the marketplace, plugged in a deconz stick and can basically throw away my hue hub and my smartthings hub now 😉 Also everything happens a lot faster with local execution and etc

if you need more disks you will have to pay extra (which wont be a problem on a nuc, since you don' thave space for new disks anyways)

the problem i am having is... i have 2 inverters, but both have a clamp meter on them..

so what happens is.. at night, it might show that ill pulling 600W from the grid.. fine.. but then the Sun comes out, and the other inverter wakes up, and it ALSO goes "you're pulling 600W"

so the stupid portal goes "hey, you're using 1200W!"

since I have 2 inverters but 1 battery, if my battery is at (for example) 60% charged, the portal goes "SOC 30%"

So I am about to brag a bit. I just got my YIO remote and it is nice, it has a sense of presence when holding it and the back for sure does not feel like it will fall ourt of your hand. I currently have it in the dock and it does not look like it will tip over at all. Still need to charge it and turn it on, but so far it looks good
