So I used an ESP8266 to bodge together a simple prototype which uses a transistor to make the computer think its power button is pressed.

Already flashed 4 Sonoff S26 with Tasmota, connected them through MQTT and with auto discovery and UI-automation I set up a few simple light switch tasks.
Should I stick with the UI-automation or is it better to learn it through the yaml way directly? Already saw that the UI-way doesn't export it to configuration.yaml..
What's your advice?

Plug and play, it's great and super responsive than harmony <> BT but no device ID codes
Example if you have 3 of the same AVR in a cabinet you can set device ID codes per device so all 3 volumes won't work together

Yep CEC is there not for UI control. Only for power /sleep / input switching. I disable CEC on all. Such a pain when doing whole house.

Hi Harrison, I checked your code, you set the Backup generator to run while Mains are healthy (the input is INVERTED). I have been playing around with HA for a while now, I did have it working great all integrations . But my server storage was dropped and I have tried to restore from backup and wont start HA , I have it runing via a docker based script. But I tried vanilla docker , also tried app based on my nas, and also via RP4 ., 4gb . But cant get certain aspects to work on any of those platforms to the level I had it prior.
I have all files to restore as its on a vsphere cluster
