Hey, ya'll trying to figure out where the appropriate place is to ask this question.: How do you get Developer Tools->Services to show Service Data (JSON, optional) Right now, all I can see is Service Data (YAML, optional)? (I'm using Home Assistant on Mac, not Hassio) I've searched far and wide for a couple of days, forums, documentation, youtube, google etc. but no closer to an answer.

Once upon a time a single pass would leave enough of the previous data that it could be recovered, it just wasn't easy. Hi. I'm about to replace a plug in dimmer (433 MHz) with a Z-wave one, but the light makes a buzzing sound when connected to the Z-wave dimmer. Both are Nexa and have the same specs. Any idea why this might happen?

not sure of a perma solution since most require to be dropped down in the tank but pool drainage pumps often can be both submersed or have double hoses connected to them and will give hose pressure. I bought one from walmart like 10 years ago that works like a champ for me spraying the fence line with my hot tub water when we drain it
you'd have to find an RVV water pump to keep that 12v

the RV water pumps are super low volume
limitations of the 12v. don't think you would find one any stronger
that one's about 5 gallons per minute

so any holes that weren't manufactured into the bottom tank aren't going in or there will be a literal ton of pressure on whatever I use to seal the hole

I'm already skeptical of putting the big 3" hole in the top one for my bulkhead connection
once the thing's full of water I'm pretty sure the two tons of water is going to come blasting out of the bottom ball valve when I open it

you won't get what you want without a pump no matter what. you'd have to raise them pretty high like city water towers to get the pressure your looking for

@last dirge I would recommend a Siemens Logo (around 120USD or so on eBay), has modbus for HASS integration, has nice control like PI loops, designed for hobbyists, IoT and those starting out. Has examples for tank control and pressure monitoring.

I've always wanted to put rapsberry pis in each room/cluster of room to wire sensors and switches etc
But maybe a good PLC would be a better option
I want to avoid wireless and batteries like the plague for my permanent setups
@last dirge That's literally the cheapest PLC money can buy, in that case you probably want an Arduino based solution
PLCs aren't cheap they are however incredibly over engineered and reliable

@last dirge It isn't unfortunately the cheapest PLC will cost you $120 USD, keep in mind you are getting something that can survive EMI, voltage spikes, capable of interfacing with industrial equipment, uses industrial protocols, has in built 24v tolenent IO, AI and relay controlled DO. Its a different beast

we use them for everything, and yeah, they're about $120 or so with ethernet, but you can stack GPIO on them for miles

ha, OK no two different things. First off, yeah with the CLICk PLCs we use TCP Modbus and it's a rock
Secondly, some weirdness for some users on 108 where the CPU / RAM usage goes up after each restart, creeps up until the CPU is sizzling and it runs like hell
having zero to do with MODBUS
Well I am having a bug due to async implementation of new Modbus component where its eating CPU under 0.108

hello everyone. i guess here is the place to introduce myself. I am Toji and I am running home assistant 108.2 on a R-Pi3 (might update to 108.3 soon...we'll see) and although I ahve been messing around with HA since 0.78 I still have no real clue of how everything works (copy pasting what I needed together ever sicne I started) I am not a programmer so sometimes the documentation doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
