@wet pilot I recently changed the CPVC pipes to plex pipes. I made a loop for the external water outlets, makes it easy to replace if there is any leakage.

I can just do it from outside. Just remove screws for the outlet, pull it, replace and push back in.

but yea, you should take a emery cloth to everything inside, try and get place where metal touched metal. don't havve to sand it like it's wood but ovver time buildup collects and the metal rust and leave pockets and that will cause failure

not sure how old your faucet is but if it's real old it's certianly worth holding on to because you won't find quality like that anymore
