guys I have been searching for a way to control a few fans in my house. Fan 1 and 2 are a single gang box where the fan is actually controlled via the pull string to turn on and off the fan. In the master We also have a fan that follows the same concept of the other 2 fans ,but we want to have a separate control for fan and light while maintaining it as a single gang. Looking to see what others have done and what other have recommended.

homekit is in beta on the gen 1 gateway which i have, and while the sensors update immediately, the alarm status often doesn't change in homekit when changed outside of homekit (homekit controller in this case). known bug that was fixed in the later models and will eventually come to mine

looking forward to it being fixed because abode is the last major part of my home assistant setup that isn't locally controlled

I'll have to calculate this or I can't stop thinking about it. In a coaxial cable, the signal moves at 2/3 speed of light. So to get a 1ms delay in sound you'd need pretty much exactly 200km of cable.
