agree with @orchid rose speakers at ear level gives you best experience - hence my floor standing speakers and side speakers are all at ear level

I would probably try that first. Technically it's supposed to be in the middle of the screen which is impossible outside a theater, but the closer you can get to that, the better

I don't think it matters that much. Technically they should be a meter or two away from the wall for optimal sound but in a normal room you have to compromise
