so xiaomi came out with a "smart light switch" to work with smart bulbs that involves a screw on the backside of a plastic rocker that makes the switch "bounce" back to the on position so the smart bulbs will always have power lol

sw and L1 connect to the existing light switch poles, doesn't really matter which goes where. L goes to Hot (load) N goes to Neutral and O goes to the Hot line leading to the light

We have a larger natural variation in daylight hours I guess. For example in Darwin NT, no point with DST as the actual daylight hours don’t vary much during the year. However the further south you get the more they do. Some states have trialed it off and some have always had it

any thoughts on grabbing where IFTTT gets the information from for one of its triggers? For instance, I want to trigger an automation when ComEd announces a peak time savings event, and there's an IFTTT trigger for this, but I don't want to use IFTTT

@hushed basalt you can get a bidet converter for cheap on amazon that doesn't require power. Slips under your current toilet seat. I got one for like $27 USD. It uses the cold water line. I thought it would be too cold. It's actually fine. Wakes you up a little in the dead of winter though. They make one that attaches to the hot and cold water line (if close to a sink). You will still have to wait for the water to warm up for it to get warm.
