kinda neat to cook to temp, means no overcooking....you can leave things in the water bath a lil longer...you can do an ice bath and reheat later and it wont overcook....but u do need to plan it out....a steak on the other hand though normally looking at 1-2 hours depending on the cut

6 hours later..... Home Assistant has a new IP address that's much higher up in my list. OCD intensifies...

That would've been great but my Hass IP is referenced by so many other things. I had to:
- Modify the DNS reservations for the RasPI4 it's running on
- Change port forwarding (NAT) and firewall rules on pfSense to be accessed, and to access what it needs
- Update MQTT settings on ~30 Tasmota devices
- Change my configuration.yaml to point to the IP
- Adjust a handful of automations
- the list goes on
DHCP isn't the only thing 🙂
virtual IP would've been nice had I had the hindsight to use something lower in the IP range (I try to keep critical stuff at lower IPs like x.x.x.11 - less to type)
