It also depends on the content. News and stuff are created to be viewed on a small screen and can be pretty annoying on a huge screen. Movie s (and this includes modern TV shows) are made for big screen. Sports look much more enjoyable on large displays too.

Effective viewing angle is 35 to 60 so the if 4k and above you can go big not going to hurt for movies. Everything else is a bit of a challenge since market is different. Most TV is made to make sense on 32" TVs

A production doesn't necessarily have to be created for a big screen to be more enjoyable on one. All you have to do is to avoid putting points of interest in different parts of the screen and it'll cause no issues. Sports is a good example of this

in our last house we had spectrum, and for about 10 years they were the only ones in the area until about 9mo ago when ATT started doing coax in the area... but they used spectrum's lines for delivery... so there was cross talk when neighbor's switched to ATT because spectrum doesn't do physical disconnects anymore

But then they didn't segregate the customers either, so I could open any open network shares from anyone sharing Central with me too

When ATT techs are lazy they use HPNA RG6 to add secondary STBs. Like @steel urchin said , since spectrum does not disconnect HPNA creates so much noise at the hub. Interestingly nothing messes up the DL just the UP😄

I have a rain bird WiFi controller paired up with HA. I am getting ready to write the automation for managing the schedule and stuff that said here is a thought that just crossed my thinking. Would it not be best to have the programming reside on the control as a failsafe (only the life of my lawn and plants are at risk) and instead have check certain the conditions ( such as rain and temp ) and either say nothing and allow the controller to run on it’s normal schedule or send a command to delay the schedule for the next programmed cycle. I am considering this because I had a wifi controller fail on me last summer while on vacation for a few weeks and came home to dead plants and vegetable gardens.

bit coin in some ways is worse than anything, it's 1's and 0's backed by nothing, the bankers that run the world could probably crash it to be worth nothing at the flick of a wrist. If you actually try to change it to your local currency, you pay an exchange rate AND now the gooberment knows all about your money, there goes your anonymity which is one of the only good things about it. If you can buy everything with it online and somehow have things delivered to you without the real you being connected to your bitcoin accounts then maybe otherwise meh.

no the rainbird can run as a standalone system. the wifi integration is an add-on feature that now allows owners to remotely manage their system. When connected to the wifi, it can talk to the rainbird system which will provide it with local weather information. but in the case a a wifi disconnection or issue it will run as programmed

Mostly u2f for all pages I found supporting it and an extra layer for keypass. Had some udev/Pam rules in place, but that's meh. OpenSSH just got a update supporting the ubikey out of the box (fifo or so) looking forward to enable that.
