I see you're trying to make the smoke with depth.
You added some dark lines : you'd have to make the smoke darker behind them. If you cannot make it darker, play with lighter tones. Don't forget the smoke can receive light.
For the sky, you'd have to make it the same color everywhere in that case (Not seeing the horizon neither the top of the globe).
