Cause artists aren't much paid cause "that's your passion eh ? why would we pay a lot for a guy which is playing on the computer or drawing like babies in class" we're supposed for example to get 500 $ or more for a good logo for a small brand/company. doing a 3d render realistic is around 1000-3000 €, 5000 € if they want something really personal which means more modeling/texturing instead of taking models you've already done before.
