Agreed, my game crashed 3 times in 1 hour of play. It didn't crash so often before

For me too. The game is running buttery smooth, performance wise, on my RX 6650 XT at 1440p, and out of nowhere it crashed after about 15 minutes of play.

5090 and 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM, still crashes randomly overy race.

this shit is so annoying, it crashes twice as much if not more than the last patch... wtf are they doing in that studio besides meth

I just came here to mention that, too. At least I know I'm not the only one having this problem now. The crashing to desktop is like totally random for me. It can last half a race, or I can finish 3 or 4 races before it crashes. The game only seems to crash mid race for me when it does happen. I just spent a couple hours painting cars without issue and nothing happened until I took the car out to the track to see how it looks in the wild.

Same here , group of 8 us play every week, never issues like this. This week all 8 of us experienced multiple random crashes

15+ crashes since the update within about 1 hour of play time.

I was doing challenges and it crashed 2 times already in a matter of 30 minutes

I had 100 FPS on average with RTX 3060 Notebook and Win 11 newest Update. But suddenly the game crashes. I changed a few minor settings like parallax surface, but it is hard to tell if this was the reason, because otherwise the game runs good. But I noticed the Fps are not as stable as before the Update. But with VRR I don't really noticed it in the races.

Loading into races and starting up are also incredibly long compared to previous updates for me.

Crashes often .. dumps me back to the desktop .. VERY annoying!

No 100% fix just yet but we have a pretty good idea what causes the crash so expect a patch soon.

The most common crash seems to be related to surface effects.

Same here.
Flicking shadows too online, random crashes without overlay (nvidia, Steam, etc) offline and online. System full updated (7800x3d, 32gb DDR5 EXPO 6000 Cl30, 5070 ti updated).
No error message when game crashes

Looking in Event viewer it shows 'nvlddmkm' error relating to nvidia driver whenever I get a random crash, I just updated to 595.79 today before another crash during game - also getting more flickering shadows after driver update, might revert back to previous driver (though had random crashes with that too)
