#A few ideas — and a few more

Here I’m sharing only the foundation of these ideas — the rest is up to you, friends ❤️

  1. Boost: all or nothing
Many of us loved the boost-for-destruction mechanic in a “similar game” (FO1).
In Wreckfest 1, this direction, in my opinion, was not explored at all.
    Concept:
By destroying opponents or earning a certain amount of destruction points, the player receives a one-time nitrous boost.
    However:
Using the boost does not directly reduce car HP, but triggers a hidden “damage roulette”.
There is a chance to severely damage the engine or other components (e.g. 50%), instantly shifting their condition from white to red.
Before activating the boost, the player must weigh the risk:
a short-term overtake versus losing the race in the long run.
    This:
    rewards aggressive driving and destruction
    adds tension and tactical decision-making
increases drama in the fight for first place
  2. Characters and voice reactions
I still remember how fun it was hearing drivers of different genders screaming when ejected from cars in a “similar game” 🙂
It would be great to have characters with unique voice reactions:
    during collisions
    in heavy crashes
    upon total vehicle destruction
This would bring races to life and amplify the chaos.

  1. Community livery gallery
An in-game livery workshop where players can:
    showcase their designs
rate and comment on others’ liveries
preview community liveries directly on their cars
Similar to how it’s done in Horizon.
Additionally, the most popular creators or categories could be rewarded with exclusive 3D body parts or cosmetics.
  2. Queue system for full servers
Trying to join a favorite server that’s already full often means constant refreshing and spamming the “Join” button.
    Suggestion:
A waiting room showing your position in the queue.
Once a slot becomes available, you are automatically connected.
    Simple and frustration-free.
  3. Tournament rewards and rankings
I’d love to see ranked tournament races (I know something like this is planned for the future).
A core competitive mode could include:
    weekly or monthly seasons
    top-10 / top-100 leaderboards
    unique universal visual rewards
    For example:
    trophy-style cosmetics
    visual indicators showing champion status
So other players can immediately see who they’re racing against.
This isn’t about a battle pass — it’s about real tournaments,
though such systems could also fit nicely.
  4. In-game clubs
It would be awesome to create clubs directly inside the game, based on style or philosophy:
    “=BAN”?
    themed or role-play communities
    Clubs could have:
    unique cosmetic attributes
    windshield logos
    trunk keychains, etc.
All fully integrated into the game.
  5. Shared lobby for friends
This has been mentioned before, but it’s worth repeating:
a shared lobby system for invited friends to make joining servers together much easier.
  6. Destructible environmental objects
More destructible trackside objects, such as:
    construction equipment
    temporary structures
    environmental hazards
    Destroying them could:
    temporarily slow down pursuers
but turn into new obstacles on the next lap
FO1 had a great quarry track where fragile structures held heavy conveyor parts —
destroying them created a spectacular chain reaction behind you.
