I've seen a lot of great worn and rusted cars from you. Do you have a process for how to do them?
My attempts always turns out looking more like they have been painted to look worn rather than something that's been abused, abandoned, and patched up for years.

well i tap the rust brush repeatedly to give me a speckled dotted rust look and don't make the rust to thick or it won't look right and you can go over the same area repeatedly with some materials like a paint brush

like click the rust brush really fast repeatedly, this goes for all the other materials
