Inspired by a sub conversation from within the gilded Yumi suggestion;
Why does Ferryman’s lantern Scale off of brutality/tactics instead Tactic/Survival?
It’s meele attack, while not as slow as a lot of survival weapons is probably still the slowest of any brutality weapon, and it’s slower than a lot of tactics weapons too at that
Not to mention, being a slowish two handed weapon that locks you out of using a shield, you’d want to run a cocoon or ice armor, but if you’re using it on brutally (or even tactics in armor’s case) you don’t get to use those items without it being subjected to off color scaling, which seems like an unnecessary drawback; Especially considering the fact that you get no synergy from any kind of brutality mutations or items while using the lantern Unless I’m missing something. You also lose out on the scaling of armadillo pack as well. And this weapon can roll slows all enemies as well, but you won’t be able to use frostbite either
Survival doesn’t get access to many ranged weapons thanks to it’s health pool, but the ranged attacks of the lantern require you to kill enemies through the Meele attack exclusively, which seems not so much different from the design philosophy of the crossbows, which want you to use both hands to gain the most value damage wise and already shoot pretty fast for survival weapons.
If you guys have any thoughts about this or additions to the suggestion let me know.
