Hi everyone, I've wanted to play some Minecraft 1.0 with my skin so I asked one of my friends if they knew a way I could make it work on older versions so they gave me -Dhttp.proxyHost=betacraft.uk
However, even when adding the Java arguments for the proxy, it doesn't seem to be working as my skin still appears as Steve
I also tried adding the argument for the proxy port but it didn't change anything

It just randomly works or doesn't. (On b1.7.3 from my experience)
Not sure what causes that though.
Since you have a game license, you may want to use the v2 (alpha) launcher.

it's because of the quota mojang enforces on us. therefore, the proxy is not guaranteed to work at all times. the proxy is local when you're using betacraft launcher v2, so there's no limit.
