Changing JVM arguments makes the game not open | Betacraft | Page 1

So I clicked on "Edit instance" and then in the JVM arguments part I replaced:
-Xmx1G
With:
-Xmx3G
Because it was running out of memory while playing. But then when clicking on the "Play" button it just closes the launcher and I assume this is happening because -Xmx3G is not the right thing to type? Idk help

use 64 bit java
