Instalation conflict

I'm encountering an installation conflict when downloading the modified YouTube even though I clearly do not have YouTube downloaded.

Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue?

You have rv youtube somewhere in your device installed. You can have stock yt and rvyt in the same device since rvyt changes the package name.
Try searching for an already installed version of YtRv and try patching using default patches and see if it works.

I dont think I do, I dont remember downloading it on this device. If I did, I can't find it in my files and settings by looking up YouTube or revanced

Use default options to patch and see if it works.
In case this doesn't work, try using default patches and disable "Allow Changing Patch Selection" and see if this does the job.

Also, check if you've downloaded the latest suggested version of the yt apk that the app supports. This could be the problem, too.

I think that was it, I deleted anything beforehand and tried again and it worked

Might be because I misclicked somewhere after patching for the first time, downloading it but not fully? So it shat itself

Hmm, sometimes the patch can go wrong and you need to do it again, maybe because of the device trying to shut off the app for battery optimization purposes or something like that.

I tried using Revanced before, the biggest issues were with MicroG

You need to open it everytime before youtube so it works right?

Nope, you just need to disable battery optimization because the device will keep shutting it down and this will kill yt too since it needs MicroG running in background.

I personally disable both yt and microg battery optimization just to avoid my phone killing this apps while I'm using background playback or that floating screen while outside the app

You are only able to download using external apps, like snaptube

There's another one you can sync with ytrv too, if you are interested I can look it up and see if I can find it, I never used it though so we would be learning together basically xD

This makes the download button works as you would like but you'll be using an external source to do the trick.

6. External Downloader Setup

1. Download and install Seal.
2. Open YT ReVanced > Profile pic > Settings > ReVanced > Player > External downloads
3. Enable external download button
4. Set the downloader package name to com.junkfood.seal and restart the app.

Allows you to download videos & playlists (also works with other social media apps like Twitter)

Found it, it seems pretty easy to set up.

As I use snaptube I won't do it unless you are not able to make it work, then I'll try to see if together we can find the solution. But since it seems pretty straight forward I think you can do it easily.

There's only auto uptade patches and you need that enabled. I think it is related to your appstore but honestly I didn't have any problems with it and I use Vanced/ReVanced for about 3 years so I think it is ok just to ignore this message

It is that option to auto update your apps without the need to open the app and do it manually. You are on android so it is that option inside Play Store to update your installed apps automatically.

First you need to know which arch your device supports. To make things simpler just download the same arch version you downloaded for yt from apkmirror.

You can check the supported arch versions of your device going into ReVanced Manager > settings > scroll all the way down. There'll be the info you need to know.
