This question relates to bipolar stepper motors.
I can find the pins for the 2 coils using a multimeter set to measure resistance.
- Is there a method for determining the "A" coil vs the "B" coil?
- Is there a method for determining 1A vs 2A and 1B vs 2B?

**EL Wire question(s): How to install in a permanent location and respect electrical codes? **
- Situation: I need a 40ft run between 12vdc inverter output and the actual el wire. These runs go within a sculpture to where the el wires start.
- Question: Is it categorized as AC? Can I run these without electrical conduit safely. i think yes.
Vac and amp wise it seems telephone lines’ ringtone is a better analog. I looked into NEC codes. CL2? CL3? Which trades person will wire/certify this?
