Is there something in the store for connecting Feather boards to EYESPI displays with an FPC cable? (like Proto Tripler PiCowbell for Pico or EYESPI BFF for QT Py)

I am working with an Adafruit Feather M0 Bluefruit LE and the Crickit Feather board using Arduino IDE. My goal is to control a servo motor, so I used the provided example code and uploaded it successfully to the Feather board. However, the servo does not move. I have double-checked all the connections, ensured the power is supplied correctly, and even tried using another Crickit Feather board, suspecting the first one might be faulty. Unfortunately, the issue persists.

To further investigate, I switched to a Feather ESP32-S2 and used CircuitPython with the same Crickit Feather setup, but the servo still does not respond. I have updated the firmware on both the Crickit boards, and despite following all the setup steps I could find in the documentation, I couldn’t find a clear step-by-step video tutorial to troubleshoot this specific problem.

Could someone help me identify what I might be missing? Here’s a summary of what I have checked so far:

Connections: All connections between the Crickit board, Feather board, and servo are double-checked and properly secured.
Power Supply: Power is provided through a USB connection, and I’ve ensured the Crickit board is receiving power.
Code: I used the standard example provided for servo control through Crickit.
Boards: I’ve tested with both Feather M0 Bluefruit LE (Arduino) and Feather ESP32-S2 (CircuitPython).
Firmware: The firmware for both Crickit boards has been updated to the latest version.
Is there a common step I may be missing when setting up a servo motor with the Crickit Feather board? Do I need to perform any special initialization for the servo pins or power configuration on the Crickit that isn’t obvious from the documentation? Any advice or suggestions for further testing would be greatly appreciated!

These channels are for questions asked before and during the weekly LIVE Ask an engineer show.

For project specific debug problems like this one, please post in the help-with- channels.

To answer your question though, your Crickit is not powered, that's why it's not working. The USB is exclusively for updating the firmware, to actually power the board you need to use the barrel jack connector
