#January 15, 2025 Questions

This came up in the discord channel from a user who wanted to use the TI BQ40Z50-R2 "1-4 series Li-ion battery pack manager" which allows hooking up to 4 lipos in series. Data sheet can be seen here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq40z50-r2.pdf
The question was are the Adafruit multi-cell Lipo packs (e.g. #5035), which present as a "single cell" at the connector, compatible with ICs such as TI's that allow serial connection of multiple lipo batteries? Could one build a 14.8V 10ah supply with four Adafruit #5035s for example?
How hard would it be to make something similar to ethernet (or token ring) using pio to cluster RP2350s?
