I just got a MEMENTO camera, and I think it has a faulty display. I loaded (and reloaded) CircuitPython 9.1.1 and Fancy Camera per the tutorial, and am getting the expected feedback in the REPL but the display is just blank. Any ideas?
Does the backlight on the display turn on? Are you able to post a photo that shows the display and one that shows the ribbon cable connection around on the back of the board?
No backlight, standby for photo
here's a quick picture while I remove the LED ring to expose the ribbon connector
Here is the ribbon connector
Blank screen
The backlight doesn't light, and I tried shining a light down the side of the display and wasn't able to see anything. I don't know if that would have shown anything.
@vital bloom I do not see an issue that are immediatly apparent. Go ahead and post on the Adafruit Forums about your issue and include the photos. They may have some additional ideas for troubleshooting and/or be able to get you pointed toward the process to replace it if it is faulty.
Will do. Thank you for your help.
@vital bloom have you tried only on battery power? Or have you tried USB power as well and found the behavior is the same?
