Hey guys, I'm looking for a usb c pd controller ic for multiple ports. I met a guy that puts together "smart boxes" (pelican cases) that go to places without much infrastructure so they can teach school with them. They contain 20 chromebooks and they charge from a battery in the case. Right now they have an inverter hooked up to power strips with chargers plugged into them and taped/zip tied into place. I was thinking about throwing together a pcb design for them to minimize dc-ac-dc conversion losses. And gives a little more room in the box. Does anyone know of a usb-c pd controller that can run 4 or more ports (preferably some multiple of 20)? I've found a couple that can control 2 at a time, but 4 or 5 would be ideal so I can cut down on space needed while spreading them out for cooling.

Thanks!

You'll probably just need to use one IC for each pair of ports. Honestly an easier solution could be to take a bunch of 12v PD car chargers and hook them up to the battery (though it's not as clean or cool as a custom board).

a 20 port PD source IC with all the required buck controlling would be huge
