Hey everyone! I was wondering if there is anything like SYZYGY (a standard connector + protocol for FPGAs) that can be used for microcontrollers. I'm currently working on an hardware design where we are not quite sure what MCU we are going to use (maybe we might even switch to an FPGA). Ideally, I want to design my peripherals (seperate ADC and DAC boards) to work with an interface that is independent of any platform. I heard of MicroMod (https://www.sparkfun.com/micromod) but would like to hear if you know of any alternatives or industry standards.

Or – alternatively – do you think there is anything that prevents me from building a SYZYGY carrier that is not FPGA based but hosts e.g. a teensy or stm32?
I’ve seen some people using 40 pin mezzanine connectors, not sure how standard it is but it might be an opportunity to explore.
