But maybe the Aqara ones could be connected through that Xbee3 thing? I haven't messed a whole lot with z-wave and zigbee so I am a bit unsure.

Looks like some people are using the ConBee II with Home Assistant and the Aqara sensors... Worth a try. But, would be fun to hack on it with the Xbee3 too.
