Tabs are better when indentation is limited to only a few layers, spaces are better for languages with more layers of indentation. Multi space (4/8 space indentation) per layer is the devil!

IPS is one of those things that once you use it, you instantly notice not having it. One of the reasons I haven't purchased a Nintendo 3DS....you might get a TN or IPS screen, or a mixed combo of them.

images, yes. video....depends on what kind of frame rate you want. but you'd basically just keep grabbing images and then make the video from that. it doesn't have any built in video capability.
