Not the best gymnastics kip but potent enough that it threw you into a half dip position
If you're training to go stricter
Really focus your strength on a false grip
You'll need chalk for that
really depends on your goals.
If your goal is explosive type kipping MU, then you're on the right track, as you get stronger you would not need that much of kick up from your legs over time. Might not look pretty now, but getting the rep is priority for now, in time you'll clean up the form
However, If your goal is good form strict type of slow MU, like Marcelo advised, false grip is really necessary to pull into the bottom of the dip position with your forearm rather than momentum. If you haven't trained for it, it would probably take 2-3 months of false grip deadhang before attempting a slow MU. A longer process of conditioning and training, but personally speaking much more worth it (and you'll be the judge for that for yourself haha)
Cheers to your training journey!
