Yeah as far as I know the 9 key isn't used for anything in classic mode so new abilities could be useful

I see zero reason why we need this. You've only made comments on what it could do, but no reasoning as to why.

In a classic implementation I'm thinking something along the lines of it being used to rally other players to a location. Though 16 of them going off at once... 😬
As for said "green binoculars," they could be implemented as a thermal/IR optic, could be useful in ZDC or other low-vis maps.
