Your network could be getting overloaded but i doubt thats the case

Also you cant 17k ping since the server and client would long disconnect before that time

So its probably something with the software

I would start with the proxy

that's more resonable but it should just kick you at that point

have you tried a vanilla server or plain paper server

huge as in? how long? a few seconds

run a test on that first
